There are several types of oil that can be used in a compact tractor, depending on the manufacturer's specifications and the climate in which the tractor will be used.
Here are some of the types of oil that can be used in a compact tractor:
10w/40 Universal Tractor Oil: This is a low SAPS (sulfated ash, phosphorus, and sulfur) oil that can be fully or semi-synthetic.
15w/30 Super Universal Tractor Oil (SUTO): This oil is designed for older, classic, or vintage tractors.
15w-40 Engine Oil: This is a mineral engine oil that can be used in newer tractors.
15w-40 Engine Oil E7: This is a top-tier, backward-compatible multi-grade oil that can be used in newer tractors.
CK-4 Oil: This oil is available in the same viscosity and weight classifications as other oils, such as 30W, 15W40, and 20W50.
30-Weight Oil: This oil can be used in all garden lawn tractors, and is acceptable for operation between temperatures of 32 and 104 degrees Fahrenheit.
10W30-Weight Oil: This oil is a multi-viscosity oil that is equal to or better than a straight 30 weight oil, and is most beneficial for northern climates with major temperature variations.
5w-40 Full Synthetic Oil: This oil can be used in compact tractors, and may provide benefits in winter months.
It's important to note that compact tractors also require grease to prevent wear and tear on moving parts. The type of grease used will depend on the specific use of the tractor, such as high-speed bearings or slower-moving parts, and must be chosen accordingly.
